There are good reasons to criticise political actions by gouvernments, state institutions, parties, and NGOs. At the same time people want to create their own politics in a autonomous way. Anarchists are in principle skeptical towards politicians in general. Political anarchist theories place individuals, social life, society, economy and the collective in contrast to the political which is often understood to be part of the power dynamics of the state. Is taking political actions something we should strive for? If so, when, and under what circumstances and how should we act on the political field? Is there something like autonomous politics and what are the criteria?
If we ask those questions we can discover a self-determined and purposeful praxis within social contradictions – and find a term for politics that describes strategically our own content and experiences.
First there will be an input. After that we will reflect on our understanding of politics in small groups and exchange our views on emancipatory fights.
A workshop about political theory of anarchism. About 150 min.

Desciption italian/french border
Occupations at the border: between emergency, repression and conflict
One year ago, the occupied Casa Cantoniera in the Susa Valley on the Italian-French border was evacuated. For more than two years, the squat was a shelter for people who were forced to migrate and an attempt of an inclusive struggle against the borders by people who are affected in various ways by European border policies. After a brief overview of the history and current situation situation at intra-European borders – especially the Italian-French border – different tactics and the related problems will be explained and will be explained and critically scrutinized. The aim is to discuss together how we as anarchists can be active against borders without running the risk of becoming a substitute for institutional, humanitarian aid with a black flag, and how we can organize struggles at different borders, in cities and against other aspects of the system of capital and nation.

Lecture Tour – You are not alone! Tear Down Tönnies – Repression in the Animal Liberation Movement
With: tierbefreier*innen Leipzig
When: 7 pm
Where: Plaque (Industriestr. 1, 04229 Leipzig)
Language: German
– Corona: Please come tested! –
The talk will focus on the repression experiences of the action group Tear Down Tönnies and how we as a movement can show solidarity with the activists. In October 2019, activists from the group Tear Down Tönnies (TDT)* blocked the slaughterhouse of
Europe’s largest meat company, Tönnies in Kellinghusen (Schleswig Holstein). For almost eleven hours, regular slaughtering operations were therefore stopped. The aim of the action was to draw attention to the precarious working conditions, the endless animal suffering and the heavy climate and environmental pollution caused by the animal industry.
Since August 2020, the activists have been confronted with civil lawsuits, claims for damages in the 5-digit range, a cease-and-desist declaration and numerous court hearings. In the lecture, activists will explain, among other things, how the occupation took place, how the trials went so far, what support they have received and what the repression means for the animal liberation and climate justice movement. There will also be space for questions, exchange and discussion.
After the lecture the bar at Plaque will be open.
